The dominant colour is the category and the others are all equal weights surrounding it. They remain in the order green, blue, orange and pink to keep consistency. This is important to maintain clarity.

I didn't know whether the back cover should be a continuation of the front or whether it could be staggered like this. Also using the pictograms on the back might hide them which I wouldn't want.I came up with these designs for each area.

Originally I thought about having each exercise book the colour my areas. This looked too typical of traditional exercise books and I wanted to involve all the colours to show the interdisciplinary.
